Bao Tran was born and raised in NYC. He was born in the year of the Fire Dragon but definitely believes more in the powers of his own mind than the stars. He is the first son of two hard working immigrants and became the first American in his family. Currently, he is 30 years young and has been involved in the physical/ strength cultures like martial arts since he was a young teenager.
Since 1998 he has been a fitness trainer but now he is full time Circular Strength Training (CST) Coach. Bao started his training in the CST system in 2003. Since then he has been in love with the CST system and knew it was the right system for him. He has attended various seminars conducted by Scott Sonnon, founder of the CST system, and in 2005 at the CST Eta Seminar held in Bellingham WA he earned his CST certification and became the first certified CST instructor in the state of NY.
In March 2006 at the Iota CST Seminar held in Bellingham, WA. Bao was asked by Coach Scott Sonnon and the Head Coaching Staff to be a CST Coach Candidate. On July 6, 2006 Bao passed his Coach examination and became a CST coach. Due to his coaching style and experience the NY Post called his workout the most challenging in 2007.
Presently, he is working exploring the CST system and evolving his coaching style and athleticism by studying sport psychology, yoga, martial arts, neuroscience, neurobiology, and various training modalities that is related to a health first approach to fitnes. Coach Tran is a deeply spiritual person and also a man of reason. He is always exploring what modern science has to offer to health and fitness as well researching the wisdom of tradition.
Coach Tran is ever so thankful and grateful to all his athletes he has trained and for his teachers in life. His work is at best the ultimate expression of what is inside his heart.
